What the ACE exam covers
The ACE exam validates your ability to deploy and manage workloads on Google Cloud. You're expected to know the gcloud command line, IAM bindings, Cloud Console navigation, and which GCP service fits a given scenario. Topics range from setting up projects and billing to deploying Compute Engine VMs, GKE clusters, Cloud Run services, Cloud SQL databases, BigQuery datasets, and VPC networks. Operational skills like monitoring, logging, and budgeting are tested alongside security topics like Cloud KMS and least-privilege IAM design.

How to use these effectively
Start with the free first set under realistic conditions: two hours, no distractions, no documentation. Score yourself, then read every explanation, even for questions you got right. The reasoning behind each answer is where most of the learning happens.
For weak areas, jump back to the gcloud documentation and try the commands in Cloud Shell. Command-recognition questions are common on the real ACE exam, so typing the commands yourself builds memory that reading alone cannot.
Aim for at least 85 percent on three different sets before booking the real exam. That margin gives you room for the few questions that surprise everyone on test day.
